    Yes! Martial arts offers an incredible full-body workout. Combined with a balanced diet, regular training can greatly improve your child’s physical health. More importantly, as they feel stronger and more capable, they’ll also develop confidence and self-esteem—skills that benefit them far beyond the dojo.

  • Do I need any martial arts experience to join?

    Not at all! Whether you're interested in getting fit, building confidence, developing discipline, or just trying something new, our classes are designed to support every level—from absolute beginners to experienced students. Everyone starts somewhere, and we’re here to help you succeed.

  • Will martial arts make my child more aggressive?

    Definitely not. In fact, we teach the opposite. From day one, students learn to use self-control, respect, and common sense. We emphasize that martial arts is for defense only—and that knowing when not to use force is just as important as knowing how.

  • My child isn’t naturally athletic—can they still do martial arts?

    Absolutely! Martial arts isn’t about being the best athlete—it’s about personal growth. Every child progresses at their own pace, and we celebrate effort and improvement. Many kids who don’t thrive in team sports find their confidence and strength in martial arts.

  • What should I look for in a martial arts school?

    Great question! Visit the school in person—meet the instructors, observe a class, and talk to other parents. Look for clear pricing, options to try a free class, and whether parents are welcome to watch. A good school will be transparent, welcoming, and focused on both physical and personal development.

    We’ve proudly served Richmond, Rosenberg, and Pecan Grove since 2002. While other schools have come and gone, we’ve remained a trusted presence in the community. We have experienced adult instructors on the mat every class, low student-to-instructor ratios, and a commitment to giving each student the attention they need to grow.

  • Do I need to be in shape to start?

    Not at all! We welcome students of all fitness levels. Our instructors will meet you where you are, guide you at your own pace, and never pressure you to do anything you’re not comfortable with. Everyone's journey looks different—and that's okay.

  • What are the prices? Are there hidden fees?

    We believe in full transparency. Our prices are clearly listed on our website, and your first class is free. There’s a $50 registration fee which covers your uniform. Testing fees are $50, $75, or $100 depending on the level—and include the cost of belts, uniforms, and gear.

  • What should I wear to my first class?

    Just wear something comfortable you can move in—like athletic pants and a t-shirt. Once you sign up, you’ll receive your official uniform, which includes pants, a t-shirt, and a belt.

  • How often can I attend classes?

    We offer multiple classes each week, and we recommend coming at least twice a week for steady progress. You’re welcome to attend less frequently, but it may take longer to advance to your next belt.

  • Will I have help in class?

    Yes! Every class is led by a skilled adult instructor, with assistant instructors and advanced students there to help as needed. We focus on learning, not competition—so everyone, from staff to students, is ready to support you.
